Sophie Chang, cello
Sophie Chang is a classical and traditional cellist with regular performances around the DC region. She plays with the Alexandria Symphony, Fairfax Symphony, and Tysons McLean Orchestra. As a folk musician, Sophie plays dances and concerts around the area in olde time, English Country, Quebecois, and Irish styles, often with the band, Tea and Honey. She previously attended the Brevard and Bowdoin International music festivals as well as the Nief Norf New Music Festival. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Musical Performance from Ithaca College and a Master's Degree from the University of Tennessee. As an avid music advocate and educator, she directs the Silver Silver Spring Cello Choir and is a sought after Suzuki and Music Mind Games teacher.
